Kae runs a hand through her long hair, satisfying herself that the brief tussle hasn't made her unpresentable or anything.
She shrugs at Zook, her expression ambivalent and nose wrinkled as if in distaste. "I don't exactly feel an intuitive trust for the strong arm of the law," she drawls sardonically. "I'd really much rather be somewhere else when the Watch arrive to... do whatever it is they do. My only concern is that if we leave now without getting any answers then I don't really know how we'd be able to trace the one who sent these bastards. And it would really be a bore if the trail went cold so soon..."
She frowns. For all civilization's perks, it certainly can be annoying when you want to get something done.
