convention 116 was in Garden City, not Detroit. Not that I really expect it to happen again -- it was a serious mess this year.

I have to correct myself: Ubercon Great Lakes was in Livonia, not Garden City.

I get suburbs on that side of Detroit confused a lot. They all look alike.

Thanks for the tip on TactiCon. Not sure how I missed it. I couldn't find anything related to gaming on the OpusFest site beyond a single LARP. Thanks for the link though.

Well, as I said, Tacticon/Genghis Con are the same website, so you probably found one con and figured that was it. :)

As for OpusCon, they don't do much pre-con scheduling on the web for their gaming, but last year they had roleplaying, a ton of boardgaming, poker, and so on. It's not usually very structured, but it is there. However, it's not the main focus of the convention. (That said, it's not the main focus at Mile Hi Con either.)

Hey, it works now!

And I'll add:

RudiCon
Rochester, NY
October (either 2nd or 3rd weekend)
http://www.rwag.org/rudicon (currently down...)

It was defunct for a while, but it was back up running the last 2 years.

BURPanomicon
Brockport, NY
March 2-4 (2007)
http://www.burpanomicon.info/

Didn't even realize they had it this year...

RudiCon is unfortunately, not happening this year. I was told they'll try again in 2008. Thanks for the link to BURPanomicon. :D
