Getting Back and looking for D&D Novel Suggestions

I did really like those Greyhawk novels with the Justicar and his hellhound pelt that skinnydwarf mentioned.
I also liked the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. The main character is an assassin, which you could take some elements from for a thieves guild.

But to get the creative juices flowing I was looking for suggestions on D&D novels, specifically those with theives guilds ... and/or city adventures.

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. An awesome tale of thievery and con jobs in a great city setting. Not a D&D novel per se, but definitely an inspiring read.
