so the name says it all- where can I find cool sculpts of monsters
besides REAPER? I like alot of sculpts by many of the big war game companies, but they are really expensive.

I am looking for some non-humanoid brutes to paint that look cool
any ideas where to look?

Sooooo.... nothing? You all got nothing for me?
Probably because your initial post covered WotC (plastics), Reaper, and Games Workshop - and to an extent Rackham (both are war game companies). And once you leave "humanoid", it gets really hard.

Cheers, LT.

yeah good point- but really- I don't much care if they are plastic or metal. I found some cool pieces from privateer press- I love reaper for most stuff - but non-humanoids are hard to find that are cool

Searching for non bipedal monsters will send you over many different figure lines. Sadly most lines focus on player characer minis or humaniods

Reaper is the best source for metal monster minis, but even they don't have enough non bipeds.

GW has some nice monsters, but painfull pricing

Iron wind metals have a few monsters

Harlequin has some D&D knock offs

Collectable Miniatures Games are a godsend for monster minis.

www.ebay.com seaching for specific monster minis from

Mage Knight is OOP, but some ebay sellers still got a supply. Ask around at your FLGS, some folks may have collections to part with.

Dreamblade had a bunch of useful monsters. Lots of crap too though...

When using ebay, look for sellers that combine shipping for as low as possible.

Slime miniatures are a glass bead away. If you want to get fancy, dribble a lit candle over a wire frame.

Keep an eye on Toy stores, Dollar stores and Garage sales.

Arts and craft stores may have some figures usable for D&D.

I'd assume museum/ zoo gift shops have cool minis too.
