I figured out what I don't like about 4E: It doesn't appear to fit my DM style. But once I realized that I realized I could play in a 4E game, just never run one.
I have a friend that is full-on in love with 4E, so he will most definitely run a game. With the game apparently so easy to run, I won't even need to buy a 4E PHB. I'll play something simple that doesn't requires a lot of book references. (I've gotten by in some 3E games when I didn't have one.)
I even have a character concept: a tiefling fighter who complains constantly about how she is drawn to evil. I'm hoping that the party has a good paladin so I can complain to him about wanting to commit some crimes, and then he can point out that I don't have to, and I'll say "good point" and move on.
So, I'm in for playing on the 4E side. Anyone else have the same opinion?
