Ever thought of trying the 'Horizon Walker' PrC? It'll give you 'mastery' over terrain, showing your experience with being ALL around. Has BAB and save acceleration like a fighter, and more skill points per level then a fighter, minus the feats.
8 Levels of Ranger would give you your improved style, woodland stride, fast tracking, an animal companion. (Rougly 48 SP)
5 Levels of Horizon Walker (at the expense of 8 SP to get you knowledge Geography up) And you'll have bonuses to ALOT of your skills (since you don't have to be in the terrain to use the bonuses) and bonuses to kill things that live in those settings naturally.
