I'm hoping he goes Grappler Fighter/Monk. Pin a guy down and just punch him would be awesome. Headman's Chop for extra fun. What would be the best monk weapon for this hybrid?

All of them. He'll be str/dex, so he can use melee and ranged. He'll be using ki focuses, so he can just get expertise with that and have a plethora of mundane weapons.

ITEMS
Lvl 2 Dwarven Scale Armor +1: Free Action Heal yourself when the chips are down; someone correct me if I'm wrong but you can take free actions when its not even your turn

You can use a Free Action when it's not your turn ... if it has a trigger and that trigger happens when it isn't your turn. Since this doesn't have a trigger, you have to use it on your turn.

Arg it's pissing me off. The guy playing the Fighter/Monk isn't taking it serious. He just took powers and items that he thought was cool, and hasn't read any of the books. He has no idea about how to play a monk. Hasn't read the books, claiming dyslexia, yet he can read Game of Thrones. I understand that the game is only for about 2 months, but anytime you come into a game and just hold it up because you don't know what your powers do, it's no fun for anyone.

Maybe I take all my games, 1 session or 3 years serious in game play.
