D&D 5E I think that there's an issue with squeezing.

I would just use my best judgement given the circumstances. If kobolds built it they don’t build to squeeze. I would figure you are squeezing if you are forced to duck or if you must turn sideways to move. I.E. if you are 6’ and you enter a room with a 5 foot high ceiling you are squeezing.
Likewise if you are 4’ wide at the shoulder and move through a 2 foot wide crevasse you are squeezing. The ruling would change if the body shape were not humanoid. Even very large snakes probably will never have to squeeze anywhere. ( they may still squeeze their victims but that’s a different story)
A centaur’s backside might prevent it from turning around in a 4’ wide corridor but moving forward probably should be fine.
