[section]Any sense of success that Levanna had when her spells successfully hit the cow creature was short lived. In her periphery vision, she could see that her companions were not faring very well. Tirion seemed blinded, Uhtred was frightened out of his wits, and Quellathe and Kelvyn were consumed with the toxic cloud.

In a snap decision, Levanna closed her eyes and focused a part of her attention on Quellathe, the one she was most able to help. Levanna took a deep breath, held it, and hoped that her plan worked. She felt her body slip through the space between herself and the elf. In two flashs of light, Levanna and Quellathe swapped places.

As the gaseous cloud now surrounding Levanna assaulted her nostrils, she let out her breath, quickly gasping the syllables of a spell intended to teleport her away from it.[/section]

[sblock=actions]Levanna will use her action to activate her Benign Transposition class feature to switch places with Quellathe. After that, she'll use her bonus action to cast Misty Step to try to teleport back to safety herself. She'll use her move action as needed to get closer to Quellathe or escape the cloud.

I'm hoping that Levanna having held her breath before she went in would avoid a save, or at least help it gain advantage, otherwise, she'll use an Inspiration point :)[/sblock]

Uhtred remained frozen with fear outside the greenish gas, while Quellathe continued to choke within the same gas!!! Tirion called onto his god’s grace to heal him some as he struck out with his spiritual hammer again wound the monstrosity!!! Then Levanne step forward, disappeared and replace herself with the young ranger!!! The wizard was within the cloud but she was able to hold her breath and retreat back out of it before it affected her too greatly. It took a few seconds but Quellathe coughed and spit the odor of the gas out and quickly recovered her senses. Still within the gas, Kelvyn was also able to overcome the stench of the cloud…

GM: [sblock=Rolls]Uhtred failed his save, still frightened. Quellathe failed her save, still Incapacitated. Tirion healed himself 13 bring him up to 28HP. Then hit with Spiritual hammer for 8 (bring the cow down to 13). Levanne did her misty step and traded places with Quellathe. Once she is out of the gas she recovers normally and can act next round.

Kelvyn also made his roll and I wanted to give him a chance to act this round before I roll the Cow’s saving throw vs. the Spirit Guardians spell (which could kill it or just wound it again).[/sblock]

Blindly, Kelvyn stabbed out with his rapier and was reward with a strange squeal from the giant grub thing that now severally wounded died under the assault of Tirion's spirit warriors!!! After a few seconds the noxious and disgusting gases started to disappear and fully gone within a minute of

GM: [sblock=GM]Sorry, I wanted to give [MENTION=11520]Scotley[/MENTION] a change to post for Kelvyn but wanted to keep it moving... hope that is cool.

Attack (disadvantage), damage if he hits: 2D20.LOW(1)+7 = [9, 20]+7 = 16; 1D8+4 = [4]+4 = 8, bring the Cow down to 5 HP which means even if it saves vs. Tirion's Guardian Spirits spell it dies!!!

Uhtred is no longer frightened and the poison gases go away, although the rot of garbage and dead bodies still lingers.

Parties actions? Everything appears dead in here... [/sblock]

As the miasma dispersed so did Uhtred's fear, blinking and looking around sheepishly he takes stock of the party, Tyrion seemed to have born the brunt of the attack.

"That thing may well have called more drones, perhaps we should move back the way we came before resting."

Quellathe, still a bit green around the gills, nodded to Tirion. Quellathe turned to Levanna, with a chagrined look on her face. "I thought to protect you earlier, but I needed help. My thanks, and my apologies. I will not underestimate you again. turning to the group as a whole, she continued "From the looks of things, we all need a rest before we continue. It seems to me there was a place we could secure."

While she waited for the others to answer, Quellathe motioned to Naeris and they both looked the chamber over for anything of note.

The elf and panther quickly move around the room and find on that back wall half a dozen leathery spheroidal obs. The have been placed atop a pile of rotting garbage. The ranger saw that a couple of half decomposed humanoid bodies within the piles. Oddly she sees there appears to be partially buried crossbow quiver and a few glints of what appear to be discarded coins within the pile.

In another corner she also found a simple sack that while dirty does not appear to be decomposing like most other similar material in the cave.

GM: It items found include a quiver with 12 crossbow bolts, a finely made sack that seems oddly special and a few hundred coins, a mix of gold, silver and cooper. You will need an hour to collect and shift through the garbage and collect all the coins though

“That is a good idea,” Tirion replied to his dwarven friend.

Quellathe seemed to have found something. “Crossbow bolts and a bag?” he mused. “Let’s examine them while we rest.” He didn’t seem inclined to go sifting through trash for coin, though.

Backtracking along the way they had come, they found a small room the could secure to rest safely, or so Tirion hoped.

The heroes quickly backtrack to the rickety wooden stair and move back up to a old abandoned chamber. They where able to easily secure both entryways into the room to create a fairly safe location to take a rest. If nothing else, anyone attempting to break into the room would make a lot of noise doing so. The heroes then set about drinking some water and eating some of their rations...

GM: There are no problems if you want to just take a short rest. Too take a long rest I roll random encounters :) so up to you. During the short rest you identify the crossbow bolts are +2 bolts (ammunition, rare) and the bag as a Bag of Holding (wondrous item, uncommon)

So long rest of short rest? If a short rest you can spend HD to recover hit points.
