Evendur easily makes out what appears to be the main entrance door and a smaller secondary door on the main house. All appear to be made of very sturdy oak with heavy iron reinforcements.

"Wats ye's want strangers!!!" someone shouts from the main house upper floor's window (you think, there is no light from any of the upper windows and only arrow like slits where someone might be looking out at you all). "Night time and strangers an't much of a good mix in these troubled days..."

Evendur Buckman Rogue 1 (Warlock 4)

"Good evening to you, my friends and I were just in town looking for some mounts and we got some vague directions to here with the chance that we may be able to purchase some mounts from the local farmers. We mean no trouble but we don't fancy spending the night out here with all the difficulties of 'these troubled times' ".

Brak Blood-Bear, 5th Level Barbarian

Brak said nothing, appreciating his companions' persuasive abilities. He pulled his cloak around himself in an attempt to hide his more serious wounds.

Hero
Kelvyn Human Rogue

Since he already has a horse, Kelvyn just stands by trying to look harmless and keeping his hands clear of his weapons while others negotiate. He does glance causally at their back trail in case there are signs of pursuit.

There is a pause for a few moments and then the same voice yells back "Ye still be strangers and likes it or not, ye can't trust strangers wandering around at night who act all innocent... but ye can camp over der by the barn if'in ye wants. [section]"That sounds reasonable, given the nature of these lands... perhaps they will be less fearful of our intentions if we honor their request and comply with their instructions until they can see us more plainly by light of day," Levanna said quietly to her companions.

The group makes their way over to the side of the barn and set up their camp. Setting watches, they settle in for a the night. Those on watch occasionally hear wolf howls for in the hills but they do not come down into the small valley where the homesteads are.

Just before sunrise the doors on the barn unlock and a few young men wearing leather and carrying spears and shortbows emerge from inside. They avoid the camp and start leading cattle and sheep out of and lead them towards the hills. Half a dozen older men and women also emerge from the main house. All are armed and armored. The women head over towards the gardens and open side doors in the barn that hold chickens and start feeding them.

No one bothers the camp and allow them to sleep in. As the group starts waking and packing up the camp, a lone older man approaches the group. He is dressed in studded leather and carrying a unloaded crossbow.

"OK strangers ye might not bes bandits and 'eye' followers, or at leasts ye can pretend to behave. So whats ye wants?"

Day 2/Morning

“No, we are not bandits, nor followers of the Eye,” Tirion agreed as he adjusted his cloak around him to cover his armor and turned to face the older man that approached them. “We are merely travelers who felt it unsafe to remain in the village for the night, but also find ourselves in need of procuring horses. It would make the coming journey much easier. We were told the farms here about might have mounts for sale. Would you know of someone, good sir?”
