The Hunters[sblock]Shortly after the tracks reach the forest edge they take off running (2x movement) deep into the forest making the tracks a little easier and harder to follow, all at once: deep, more careless steps while being farther apart. The light provided by the torch gives you enough light to see by. They 'Wolves' seem to be not trying to hide anything while in the forest and seem to be making a Bee-Line towards the deep interior of the forest. You are able to follow the tracks quickly and stop every once and a while to verify you are still following them.

The Eldritch Grove's rolling hills are thick with downed branches, logs, brush, ferns, bushes and deadfall everywhere making traveling at night here a little treacherous for those not used to such conditions. Both of you find it annoying but easy enough to compensate for and it does not slow you down so much. The land moves from a gradual sloping to an ever increasing rolling hills as you get farther and farther into its lightless depths. The occasional greeting of a startled cricket is the only sound that you hear in the silent heart of the forest. As you grow closer and closer to them you feel an increasing tension in forest itself.

After about 2 hours of travel you see that you are most likely a a few minutes away from them. The the land has become littered with jutting hills that bob up an down with valleys well over your head. You follow the tracks quickly and carefully through the forests difficult terrain and you approach the crest of a hill.

Tullia[sblock]As you are nearing the crest of the hill your trained eyes notice a flick of light.[/sblock]

Boarhide[sblock]In the very, very far distance you hear a faint chorus of wolves howling that sends a cold shiver up your spine.[/sblock][/sblock]

Boarhide and DM:
[Sblock]"Put out the light, friend. I have spotted theirs up ahead." Tullia points to where she saw the flick of light. Instinctually she reaches back and finds her quiver with her hand and goes through the motions of drawing an arrow - a mental exercise to prepare her attack. Once Boarhide flicks out the light, Tullia moves to flank Boarhide's right side by about 10 feet. This will get her out of the precise location of where the party had its light. She tries to match Boarhide's movements as best as she can - staying 10 feet to his right and 5 feet back. As she moves, she looks for what might be higher ground so that her arrows might be more effective.[/Sblock]
