D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Triboar

The walls around the area are ten feet high. Othovir takes a shot at a magmin and misses, they seem to be incinerating his harness shop as they will it.

The giant that took a pair of shots points at Urgala. The grunts in the field rush towards her, knocking down fence posts along the way.

One orc rider throws a javelin at Darathra but misses.

Another rides around town in another direction avoiding the darkness.

The one in the darkness tries to fight, but lands no damage.

OOC: Sorry for the delay... sick still. I am better today though. Uric is moving to DD41 to attack the orc twice... Attack roll 20, Damage 13; Attack roll 22, Damage 7

Othovir is taking the dash action to move to EB120 (hoping that he has some cover from the wall. He is hoping to move somewhere where there are others about.

Uric moved around the orc and slash into with his sword twice, saying "HA, now this is a fight!"

Meanwhile, Othovir cursed his luck and realized just how exposed he was and race back along the wall away fromt the advancing hoard!!

~ The smell of smoke began to fill the air, the sounds of battle and screaming growing louder. This was no mere raid, Koldan concluded: this was an actual battle, with Triboar itself at stake. Himself and his allies needed to mop up here as fast as possible and get to the true source of the conflict, ending this before any more devastation could come to the city.

The Ranger of The North hustled along, reloading the mechanism of his crossbow once more. He was chewing through bolts faster than he would have liked, but he cared naught for such a paltry thing as material possessions when lives were at stake. What's more, he felt driven; each thundering clash in the distance, every rolling crash of sound made him remember and recall the moment of his youth. The moment his life was sundered from childhood, parents taken, and he saved only by the kindly, old Elf.

The day of fire in the snows, and men as tall as mountains.

Snarling, Koldan raised the weapon once more, locking eyes with the axebeak down the road. A shame that the creature had to die, but it helped its Orcish masters to commit this slaughter: Returning it to the dirt was the proper thing to do. His ears popped as that sharpness of sense flooded back in, the world turning to greyscale around him while the axebeak jumped out in vivid color. He could see the slight luminescence of its feathers, the way its talons gripped the earth with every step. He could hear its labored breath as it carried its heavy, Orcish rider. The small flecks of blood upon its beak, dried, from a meal previous.

He saw all these things, and resolved to stop them. He did not see Darathra bring her sword to bare against the other orc, did not see Uric to his side. All there was, all there would every be for the next few seconds, would be the hollow ring of his drawstring and the rush of fresh crimson onto the ground.

The noise of battle mixed with the background roar of the burning cottage. Unfamiliar as he was with this chaotic scene, Narth found his heart and mind were racing, panic starting to cloud his thoughts.

Since he didn't seem to be in immediate danger, he moved around the tower towards the other humans who seemed to be efficiently taking down the mounted orcs. "where's the town guard?", he screamed at Darathra.

Realising that their right flank was unprotected, he moved so that the area of darkness did not block his view down the street to the east and lined up his crossbow to shoot any foes that might appear.

OOC:
Move + bonus: move to df156.
Action: ready attack with crossbow for any enemies that come within short range of him.

Inside the area of darkness, Gul glared at the foul orc. With barely any effort he conjured a circle of spectral blades which whirled around the orc and his mount. Though they could not see the eldritch attack, the noise of the spell gave them some warning, and they shrank back from him in their efforts to escape being cut.

OOC:
Note: Gul will cast Shield with a warlock slot as a reaction if he is hit by an attack (+5 to AC)
