Jaqual, continuing his chant, moves to place himself between the horseman and the running man. When he reaches that point, he raises his falchion over his right shoulder and readies a powerful swing.

A ghost!? Riding a ghost horse?

OOC:
Setting the horseman as my dodge target. Move action to try and put himself in a spot between the horseman and the running man. Ready an action to strike the horse if it looks like the horse or man will attack him or ride past him. If he does attack, he'll bring his blade down in a spinning, sweeping arc right at the horses legs, full power attack. (so +6 to hit, and 2d4+18 to damage).

On the road - Round 2

Yanhal's hand falls away from his swordbelt as the ghostly rider comes around the bend. Rapier's not going to do much good here...

"Get to the side of the road!" Yanhal yells at the stranger. "We'll try and draw its attention!" Yanhal thrusts his ars out, channeling magical energy at the approaching undead. Soft blue bolts of energy dissolve with cracks of light as they strike the horseman, although they seem to have almost no effect, especially compared to Donnor's similar spell.

Seeing you apparently prepare to help him, a flash of relief passes across the mans face as he runs. He runs past Yanhal and heads for the safety of friendly faces. "Thank you", he pants as he feels more safe.

The horseman seems not to have noticed you at all, and comes charging down the road towards the running man, floating through down the road as if there was no obstacles in his way.

"A ghost..." Donnor knows that much of his magic have good chance to miss, so he decide to cast the one he is sure about. Whispering a few words, three bolt of pure energy leaves his hand and strike directly at the rider.

Jaqual, continuing his chant, moves to place himself between the horseman and the running man. When he reaches that point, he raises his falchion over his right shoulder and readies a powerful swing.

As the spectral horseman approaches, Uriel holds aloft the silver holy symbol of his order. "Return from whence thou came, spirit!" he shouts. "The living world denies your power!"

Nothing happens to the horseman, and he seems still not to have noticed and of you.

From now on, I'll handle the dicerolling please. Less numbers in IC, the better, is my view.

Initiative:
Yanahl 21 - 30 feet infront of the others, 20 feet infront of Jaqual. Spent one 1st level spell slot.
Screaming man 12 - Is about 20 feet away from the party, just passed Yanhal and close to Jaqual.
Horseman 11 - Is about 60 feet from the party, riding towards you. 17 damage.
Donnor 6 - Spent one 1st level and 2nd level spell slot.
Jaqual 4 - 10 ft. in front of the others, using Inspire Courage, readied action to attack the horse. Horseman is target of Dodge.
Uriel 3 - 1 turning attempt used.

Inspire Courage: +1 morale against charm and fear. +1 morale on attack and damage.

Donnor see his bolt striking, but the ghost continue. Decided to keep his good spell for later use, he decide to cast another magic missile.

Something seems amiss Uriel thinks, seeing that his attempt to turn the spirit has had no effect. Lowering his holy symbol, he moves to the panting man and casts a spell to hide them both from his pursuer. If satisfied that the spectral rider cannot see them, he will ask the man who he is, and what is going on.

On the road - Round 3

Yanahl, seeing his bolt had an effect, sends more bolts of magical energy at the ghost, striking the incorporeal target.

Feeling safer with you around him, the man slows down, but continues to the back of the party, turning around to look if the horseman still follows him or not.

The horseman continues his charge at the man, seeming not to care at all about you. He's closing in, and Jaqual sees his opportunity and strikes for the rider. The blade passes right through the ghost, not hurting it at all.

Donnor see his bolt striking, but the ghost continue. Decided to keep his good spell for later use, he decide to cast another magic missile. Still, the ghost seems not to notice, it is as if it doesn't even know you are there!

Can this creature goes down? wonders Donnor. He launch a third magic missile spell at the ghost.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I think Uriel cast Hide from Undead.

With that magic missile, it will make 3 spell level 1 and 1 spell level 2 that Donnor have spent.[/SBLOCK]
