Mack gave the woman a thumbs up, "Good, you head on back to the ship and ask the Wookiee to get ready in case these thugs show up there. I am going to stick around and see what happens."

He felt bad that the Chadra-fan was getting abused and did not want him to take all the heat. He activated his earbud comlink and called the droid. <"Gater, Noe is on her way back. I am going to take a different route, but our interested friends might still follow me. If they do, be ready to set up an ambush.">

One last look back to check that Arsinoe had left and Mack stepped back out of the chocolate shop. He started walking back towards the cantina, intending to take a different route back to the ship.

“What?” Arsinoe asked .”No, we should stay together,” she told Mack. But he wasn’t listening to her, already on the comm with Gator. She gave him a worried look. “Be careful.”

Arsinoe raced down the utility corridor toward the lift that would take her to the docking platform and the Secondhand Sarlacc.

"Negative", LE-G8R-VO replied to Mack, "It is inadvisable to separate from the human female. She cannot protect herself".

Understanding enough of Mack's cryptic response to realise that he did not intend to escort the human female back to the ship, LE-G8R-VO despaired at the irresponsibility of organic beings. It had assessed that Mack at least was sensible enough to not leave her in danger, but clearly it needed to re-evaluate this position. It seemed Mack's desire to further poison himself overrode his duty towards his teammates, a position which made no sense at all to LE-G8R-VO.

With a short series of head pivots resembling a human shaking their head, LE-G8R-VO calculated that the human female was in a more precarious situation than the Secondhand Sarlacc and attendant fuzzball. It left the ship and hurried in the direction of Mack's last communication, tabulating the most likely routes that the human female would have taken to return to the ship and plotting an intercept course.

"I am leaving to locate the human female and return her safely to the ship, fuzzball"
, it commed the Wookiee as it departed, "I recommend you raise the boarding ramp and lock access to the ship, in case Mack has correctly assessed the situation and hostiles arrive here before we return".

Mack spoke into the mic of his earbud comlink, “It is too late for that. I am drinking alone, man.”

He was not worried about being overheard, but spoke cryptically just in case now that he was outside the shop.

Arsinoe dashed into the elevator at the end of the utility corridor and examined the controls as she listened to Mack and G8TR on the commlink.

“I’m in the service elevator, Gator,” Arsinoe piped in. “On my way down now.” She hit the control to bring her down to the docking platforms.

"Mmm" said Krallatan noncomittally as G8R said he was leaving the ship, but later com traffic cast some doubts on that. Krallatan hoped that 'Bucket Head' would at least stay off the bridge for awhile -- he found the droid's name for him to be mildly irritating. Krallatan waited a moment before raising the loading ramp, to give the crew more time to board the easy way, although the hatch was always available, if slightly less convenient.

Session 1/Scene 1: Ah'Kra Spaceport

Arsinoe's trip in the repulsorlift was a quick one. As the doors opened, she was relieved for once to see G8R standing in front of her.

Mack exited the confectionery as the rodians converged on the shop. The Rebel soldier noted the chadra-fan standing behind the group of rodians and furiously pressing a red button on its commlink. Collectively, the rodians drew up short as the human exited the store. One of the rodians entered the shop, head darting left and right. It said something into its commlink. The rodian to whom the chadra-fan had offered the chocolates holstered its pistol and looked to another rodian in the crew. That rodian, wearing a clear plastic square over one eye, stared at Mack for a few seconds before discreetly nodding its head. As he walked down the corridor, the human could clearly pick up the trailing line of rodians following behind him.

The repulsorlift doors opened to reveal G8TR standing there.

“Gator!” Arsinoe exclaimed, grateful to see the droid. “I don’t know what’s going on. Some Rodians were following me. Mack stayed up to keep an eye on them.” She stepped out of the lift and keyed up the comm.

Mack, I’m with Gator now and okay. Are you okay? Please get back down here! There was a bit of worry in her voice, not wanting anything to happen to the man, especially on her account. No matter how annoying he was.

Mack just kept on walking, only giving the briefest of acknowledgements to the Rodian's presence in front of him with a head nod as the went past to search the shop. He did note they were following him as he went back to the cantina.

Then heard the voice in his ear. He murmured a low reply into the mic of his hands-free commlink. <"Good to here you made it. I have some friends following me, but so far I am just fine. I can keep walking around the station until they bored."

"The question now is whether we want to take care of these guys to find out why they wanted you, or just get away from them. I would rather not lead them back to the ship, though. Better they don't know which one is ours."

“I would rather you just get away from them!” Arsinoe replied to Mack. “Why court trouble?” Though she did wonder, too, why they were following her. “Can you lose them?” she asked. “If not, we might have no choice.”
