Before meeting with the Republic and Czerka representatives, Cal nodded, "I'm definitely concerned about Czerka assuming they can run wild again with mining. Now that the Kwa have been confirmed as a sentient species, perhaps they could petition for Dathomir to join the Republic. That would give them more resources to keep Czerka in line. As far as the Sith and the merc, I think we should hand them over to the Republic."

The medic stood mostly silent during the proceedings with the various representatives, letting his better spoken and more diplomatic friends to take the lead.

GM: There is a court case back on Coruscant dealing with both the sentience of the Kwi and whether or not Czerka Corp can be mining anywhere they want. IF the court rules for the Kwi (and with the proof you provided they should) then Czerka would have to 'listen' to the Kwi and could not drill in their forbidden mountains. IF the court rules for Czerka (and it could happen as there is some corruption in the Republic) then they could drill where ever they wanted AND the Kwi in the valley would again try to 'war' with them. And probably die. You guys could negotiate with Czerka on the Kwi behalf if you wanted to. You would need to stick around for a couple of weeks to see what the courts say, one way or the other.

NOTE that tglass's character is going the group in this time frame while Reks returns to his master

Jihahna shrugs at Gall and Halina. "Overall, I think you guys want to go with the path of least resistance right? I mean... If there are locations the Kwi wanna show you that aren't giant spider or worm infested, it seems logical right?"

The Czerka reps seem to be considering Jihahna's words when Halina says "We will see how the court case goes. Until then Czerka Corp is committed to the lawful mining of important mineral for the Republic war effort. If the courts foolishly rule against their own best interests, Czerka Corp will have no choice but to bite our tongues and follow the ruling."

With that she looks at Gal and leaves the spaceport. Gall turns his three eyes onto Jihahna and with a smile adds "If the natives can find suitable alternatives which are safer and posse less of a security risk I am all for it. If you could arrange such a meeting I would be happy to hear what they have to say. We will need the Survey Droid here to translate of course..."

It has been almost two weeks since the team dealt with the Infinity Gate and returned to Footfall.

With Thirteen translating, the team has started negotiations between the Kwi natives and Czerka Corporation on future mining sites, especially possible location for Thorilide mining. Over all they are fairly productive as Czerka Corp seems resigned to the fact that the courts had ruled in favor of the Kwi's sentience and 'ownership' of the planet.

During this time Jihahna has spent modifying and re-painting the scout armor that both she and Cal are wearing. She has added some additional tricks and modifications to various weapons and tech pieces of the other team members. C-4 and her have also being working on the routine and upkeep for the Outlaw Gambit.

Cal had spent a lot of his time at the hospital and medical facility helping to aid those still injured from the spider-things attack on the mines and the destruction of the mountain valley mining facility. In their gratitude, Cal is often bought drinks at any number of the local cantains and most miners greet him by name when they encounter him walking about.

This Gand spend almost every waking hour working on decoding the data that s/he had retrieved the Infinity Gate's core. Much of it was gibberish or perhaps untranslatable, and the work was hard and slow. But there was exciting data there... it was just that it was also potentially very dangerous. As s/he continues working s/he also was having trouble sleeping with troubling dreams and a sense of something... else. Something that s/he could not completely understand but was awaking a stronger sense of the universe itself. Targo worked on his speeder bike as often as he spent at the mercenary cantain. Most of the mercs, along with their leader, Everburn, had headed out for new job opportunities in the wider Republic as the threats on Dathomir dried up.

Reks stated that he was going to return to his Master for further study and contemplation. He bid the team all a heartfelt goodbye but seemed troubled. To Kacela he had confided that he was struggling with his anger and aggression and felt that he need time to meditate on these issue for he feared he was close to giving into these feelings. He left on an outgoing transport the next day.

Today a new set of transports had landed in the spaceport with supplies and to pick up additional loads of minerals. On one of the larger ones they unloaded a Liberator-class starfighter. Its' Miraluka pilot 'watching' nearby. He had been drawn here by a disturbance in the Force and as he looked on felt a strong connection with the transport the Outlaw Gambit, also parked in the spaceport.

Kacela happened to be outside this very transport herself when she notice the pilot and could feel his deep connection to the Force.

Elsewhere (elsewhen?) a small alien sits cross-legged on the metal floor before Czerka's holo suite package. Atop the broadcasting unit, looking down upon her, sits the flickering holo-image of a robed gand without a rebreather, long-limbed and also cross-legged.

<-- is all this nameless one can guess, Zaklirk.>

<> = spoken in an obscure gand dialect, to avoid disclosure. Think of the navajo codetalkers during WWII. :)
OOC: The gand has just communicated his/her findings on to (one of?) her janwuine. All his/her findings, no holds barred.

The Miralukan stood by as the starfighter was fitted into its docking bay. He wore his grey robes open, his hood down, a bandana covering his eyes. People were often shocked when they looked at a Miralukan's naked face. The eye sockets were there, they just had no eyes to fill them. It was a custom to cover them out of respect to others.

Not that he needed eyes to see. As he observed the spaceport, it looked very different than it would if he had eyes. Living creatures, from which the Force flowed freely, were lit like beacons of light to his sight, allowing him to recognize a person by their aura, rather than their features. Machinery had its own buzz of energy. And while inanimate objects did not exude the Force like living things did, he could still see them, of a sorts. No color to speak of, not that he knew what color was, but he could see every bit as well as those with eyes.

The Force had led him here, of that he was certain. His studies into the nature of the Force had been frustrating as of late, but when he felt the disturbance...it was as if the Force itself was calling to him. Perhaps his answers would be here?

instinctively, he began hiding himself in the Force, clearing his mind. There was no sense in broadcasting his connection to the Force. He would not hide himself, but he did not need to paint a beacon on his head.

That transport, he thought as he studied it. He could see the ebbs and flows of the force around it. There is something about that transport.

OOC: Charisma (Use the Force) check to hide myself in the Force. I have advantage on these checks due to Clear Mind. [roll0] or [roll1]
