In a world without magic...

In a world without magic, who fills the void? I'm merely considering arcane, divine, infusions and mystery casting as magic. Other sources and alternatives -- psionics, truenaming, binding, incarnum, invocations, et cetera -- are fair game.

This is just an idea that's been bopping around in my head lately. Talked to a friend about it the other day and we deicided that psionics, invocations, incarnum and binding would be the most likely substitutes. And that this "setting" would require some house rules and custom creations, namely: revised paladins, rangers, bards and hexblades; more vestiges and soulmelds to make these classes more varied; at least one more binding based class and a viable replacement for the soulborn. However, those are house rules not needed in this forum.

In this case, the wizard becomes the psion, the cleric becomes the ardent, and the druid becomes the totemist. The power structure is maintained, though barely. Psions and ardents are drastically more powerful than totemists. Incarnates probably belong in a more powerful position. Warlocks and binders also become serious contenders for a top dog class. Wilders, psychic warriors, divine minds and dragonfire adepts become more common and probably occupy the power tiers immediately below. This also dramatically affects the martial adept classes: they are now relatively more powerful than before, possibly pushing them to top dog status as well. For regular melee classes -- fighter, rogue, scout, et cetera -- this is also a nice "boost" in power as well. They are still far from the most powerful classes, but with a reduction in overall power, these options are now a little more viable.

How, in your opinion, would this world without wizards, clerics and druids look?
