Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
OMG! I thought I was the only one in the world that has seen this movie!

I saw it at the Angelika Film Center & Cafe in Houston with my favorite DM visiting from Austin, Jade Tinnerman.

Unfortunately my DVD of it is now my ex-wife's. :(

Legend
Most of my favourites have been mentioned, but I'll second the Indiana Jones trilogy, The Mummy and sequel, and Princess Mononoke. The lead character in Princess Mononoke is an ideal inspiration for an archery-oriented Ranger.

It's not fantasy, but I just saw Luther last weekend.

I now wanna adventure in the early 16th century.

(Oh, and Dungeons & Dragons the movie is AWESOME with the director's commentary turned on. Hilarity ensues!)

Mazes & Monsters starring multiple Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks

If it wasn't for that movie I may never have started playing D&D. I own it on VHS and still bust it out every once and a while for a laugh, and I get nostalgic for my early days.

a few classics:

M (1933) - a thieves' guild hunts a serial killer.... one of my favorite films of all times

The Professionals (1966) - the quintessential Shadowrun story!

The Crimson Pirate (1955) - swashbuckling greatness

Scaramouche (1952) - "He was born with a gift of laughter, and a sense that the world was mad." great european "training-for-revenge" story

The Black Swan (1942) - another great pirate film, one of the best ever IMHO

The Shanghai Gesture (1942) - like Casablanca on opium...

I wonder how many parents banned their kid from RPG's just from seeing this
