The goblin doesn't move a muscle as the two of you move in. Bloodtalon covers its mouth while Sedar delivers the killing blow. The goblin twitches for a moment, then lies still. After examining the rest of the alley, you are reasonably sure that there are no other beings nearby. The way is clear now to the door of the shop.

Sedar motions at the door, indicating that he wants to check it for nasty surprises, silently asking whether he should go slow but sure, or quick and dirty along with Bloodtalon's help.

Bloodtalon indicates that Sedar should take it slowly. The diversion should last at least 10 minutes though he was hoping for 30-45 minutes himself. It would be bad to be caught in the open here and now but it would be worse to end up dead out in the alley way like the poor goblin guard.

Your careful examination of the door reveals a two part trap. It appears that Cask rigged several thunderstones to go off at once, as well as another flask of oily liquid. After examining it for a moment, you think you can see how to disable it.

(ooc: I'm still here. KO has been withdrawing from PbP and just resigned from judge and mod. He has indicated that he will be continuing as a player, so I'm hoping we'll see him back in a couple of days. You can roll for the OL check and then we can play it out inside.)

With extreme caution, Sedar takes another two minutes to undo the various springs and wires that hold the trap together. He removes the trip wires from the frame and relocates them to the door itself. With the trap disarmed, he quickly picks the lock and slides the door open.
The inside of the Wounded Dragon shop is dim, the only light coming from two lit candles over near the alchemists bench. You can hear the clink of glass and the bubbling of something being heated over the candles. A faint shuffling can be heard as someone or something toils away at the bench. The tall shelves prevents you from getting a good view from here of what is happening farther in.
