This weekend's session was an absolute blast!
The PCs decided on a group name: the Swift Swords.
They are traveling with
Prior to the session, they just got the alchemist jug from the Temple of the Crocodile and Man at Camp Righteous when the building started crumbling from within! They escaped just in the nick of time!
However, outside the temple, the undead corpses that laid around the camp came alive! Zombies attacked, but Ser Sorath Brightwood turned most of them away! To make matters worse, crocodiles were emerging from the River Soshenstar, one of them with a goblin on his shoulders who broke a hole in their canoes! The goblins attacked, warning that Yokka their goblin boss would come if they didn't hand over the magic alchemy jar. But the Swift Swords defeated the goblins and sailed away to escort Undril Silvertusk to Camp Vengeance.
While traveling along the river, two plesiosaurus dinosaurs were fighting over a dead octopus! When they saw the canoes coming their way, they swam towards the canoes to attack. Gank the goliath great weapon fighter was bitten and almost drowned in the river when one of the plesiosaurus grappled him and took him below. Luckily, the group saved him and defeated the dinosaurs.
Finally, the Silver Swords arrived at Camp Vengeance. They met Commander Niles Breakbone, the chauvinistic and stubborn leader of the outpost, who wanted them to turn back and take several sick men back to Port Nyanzaru fearing they might be infected with the Death Curse. Sorath Brightwood the cleric of Lathandar offered to cure the men with a simple 'lesser restoration' spell, but stubborn Commander Breakbone insisted that they all head back at once. His two immediate subordinates, Ord Firebeard and Perne Salhana, explained to the group that Commander Breakbone was a good military strategist, saving many people from the undead onslaught at Camp Righteous, building a strong outpost at Camp Vengeance, and his general perseverance against the undead threat, but he really has poor leadership skills. It took a lot of convincing, but in the end, the group ameliorated the Commander's tensions by offering beer from the alchemist jar and a good flattering company. It was resolved that Commander Breakbone would be the "thinker" of the operation, while Undril Silvertusk handles all the day-to-day administrative needs of the camp.
Next session, they head out to "seek wisdom at Orolunga," which is just east of Mbala...

- Azari, the wood female elven monk (friend of Syndra Sylvane and fellow Harper guild member)

- Laucian, the moon elf ranger (absent this session; member of the Emerald Enclave)

- Inete, the female acolyte of Savras, who wants to investigate the Aldani Basin for "red-robed wizards"
- a giant pack lizard
- a sick axebeak (that Laucian wants to nurse to health)
- Bryn, a female elf scout and squire to Sorath
