They shows signs of a flu but no more, those that come into contact with the carriers have a chance of catching the flu and become a zombie.

If multiple people marked by the Thunderstruck Brand are in the vicinity, a random person is the conduit for each lightning strike.

One of my favorite ideas for a fantasy doomsday weapon is from a Larry Niven story. In the story, the world has wizards able to wield mana, which is a consummable resource. One wizard creates an disk of metal that cannot be shattered. The disk use mana to spin. The faster it spins, the more mana it consumes. Once set in motion, it eventually consumes all magic in the world.
