Pathfinder 1E Living Pathfinder

Not sure but the CR seems higher than the APL even if they had bows and reach weapons.

Not saying it's a no win but I believe the game should be tailored around the PCs not force the players to make crits to do good damage (which would be needed even if they had bows and reach weapons), or sucking their resources away and then having them face a powerful enough villain to give them a hard time even if they were at full health, spells, and abilities.

But the game was approved and the players warned it would be tough I believe, so all is good.

There are a couple of things making the fight tougher, as well. First one we have no control over - the dice rollers are not going our way at all. The second one we possibly could have, but I haven't looked at the numbers to be sure.

Pari's third level - at this point it's not unreasonable to assume that he'd have a magic weapon. Of course, he leveled to third during the adventure, so he's not had a chance to spend his loot yet to pick one up. If he had one, that would get around the DR problem for one more character. All he'd have to figure out is how to get to her . . .

Major thing here: Heinrich's magic is completely thrown out the window. All he has is fire based offenses or a few touch effects.

on an aside, here is another rules question:

rules question here
if the bonded object power of spell recall is used, can it be used on a cantrip to replace one memorized and be used over and again like as if had originally been memorized?

Scott, how long you been playing D&D? You should know by now that logic and math only go so far when looking at the rules.

Only 28 years.

That's the downside of being a (fire) specialist. Someone should warn you now that the higher level you get the more monsters have fire resistance/immunity. So start thinking about how you are going to get around that or resign yourself to being ineffective against a number of foes.

No. It allows you to cast one spell, not change your prepared spells.

You need that Alternate Energy feat or whatever it's called... the one that allows you to change the damage type of your spells. Or Energy Admixture. That one's fun.

Also, Crossbows are Simple weapons and have a great range. :)

Just be a fire elemental bloodline sorcerer and choose only non fire spells. Use the bloodline arcana to make them fire spells. If you meet fire resistant/immune enemies just don't use the arcana.
