Richard pauses to assess the combat, his strikes, even when they hit, do not seem to faze the beast...
Even the burly Rowan is not able to seriously wound the creature...
Rinya stands over the bloody body of Lucien.


Moving around in front of the Bullette, Richard also goes full Defensive, shouting and taunting the beast, beating his sword against his shield when he's able, trying to draw it away from his fallen comrade.

AC = 22
Richard moves away if it moves towards him, otherwise he will attempt to distract it, avoiding snack status if at all possible, and not allow it to focus on Lucien and Rinya.

Rinya defends herself and Lucien, taking Lasair's advice. (AC 18 till next round)

Richard follows Rinya's lead, but is also taunting the beast and inviting attack.

The Bulette needs plan... DC 15 Int Check (1d20-5=15) and decides to burrow underground!
It takes a double move action and disapears from view. This provokes an AOO from Rowan (only.)

"It may have retreated, but it also may be coming for me underground. If the latter, that will take it a substantial amount of time. So heal up if you can."

(OOC: Lasair's plan is to use Vigour for 20 HP while it's Burrowing, since it will take ~4 more rounds to reach her at best if it is burrowing. Thus, worst-case scenario it smacks her once as it rises up, she'll prepare a readied action to Ego Whip again and it saves and isn't in a coma, but then she goes right before it on the next round since she readied, and she destroys it)

 

[Heckler]

Rinya drops and places her ear to the ground, trying to hear the location of the bulette. If she can hear it, she'll point out its location to her comrades. She'll also take this opportunity to drop her dagger and reclaim the greatsword.

Unless she thinks the bulette is heading for her, in which case she'll grab Lucien and try to roll out of the way.

Richard stands ready, frustrated at his inability to do much against such a foe, watching Rinya intently for sign of what is coming next.

Rinya drops and puts her ear to the ground. She can definitely hear the beast tunneling away from her, though she's not sure in what direction.

Richard stands ready.

The Bulette makes more tunelling noises.

Lasair spends 4 pp on Vigor, gaining 20 thp.

Lucien remains stable.

OOC: Sorry - last minute camping trip this w/e.

IC: Rowan will take a whack at it as it goes down.

OOC: MW guisarme: +10 2d4+9: not bad. to hit 22 dmg 15

IC: After the bullette disapears, Rowan will back away. "This thing is crazy. Let's stay in a group so we can defend ourselves." Rowan will try to stay near Rinya & Lucian.

Richard considers Rowans' words, and looks to Rinya...
As quietly as he can the fighter lowers himself to the ground, feeling it with his spread palms and laying his ear to the ground to listen.

OOC: Rolled a 23, getting some really good rolls, but the follow up isn't quite there.

Keeping her ear to ther ground, Rinya says, "Its moving away from this spot. I can't tell if its moving toward Lasair or retreating, though."
