OOC: I'd put Stellan at the back, as he's able to move forward more quickly. ;)

Looks like gobs to the left, their lupine pets to the right, Stellan informs the others. Whichever way we go, the others are likely to try us from behind.

The young wizard motioned and his staff floated back into his hands as he ducked underneath the hides covering the entrance. He squinted, his eyes adjusting to the torch light. As the others discussed which way to go, he nodded in agreement with the dwarf.

Thormir's right. And besides it seems more likely that Eliza would be that way.

The group heads toward the the path on the left. They notice that there are no torches lit back here, but the torches from the main room provide dim light. As the group moves towards the down the hall, they notice a path that descends to their left, a closed wooden door is further down the hall. Suddenly, an arm, twice the length of a human's shoots out from the path. It's four fingered hand grabs Xandren and squeezes, not letting go. The warriors armor bends under the pressure.
[sblock=ooc]Stealth checks succeed. 25 to hit Xandren. 10 damage and Xandren is grabbed.[/sblock]

Lorn raised his staff high, quickly uttering a spell that illuminated the hallway. Seeing the strange warforged in the grasps of some...thing, the young Cyran squeezed down the hallway past the others to help. Getting a better look at the creature trying to crush Xandren, Lorn leveled his staff, uttering words of power. The corridor rang with the loud report of crashing thunder.

[sblock=ooc]

Minor: Light on V22

Move: Move to S22

Standard: Thunderwave down the hallway.
Thunderwave: Int vs Fort (1d20+6=15)

Lorn moves forward into the hallway past the creature. The wizard raises his staff and thunder crashes through the narrow corridor. The creature's strange anatomy vibrates from the force and the creature is forced backward. Lorn seeing the advantage pushes himself even more, unleashes twin rays of frost. The chokers bend over backwards, at a near impossible angle. They use their long arms to steady themselves. Lorn is caught off guard by the creature's ability to dodge like that and even more so when the creature he injured rushes back at him, it's skin coloring grey like the stone wall and, it's long arm grasping toward the mage's leg.

[sblock=ooc]Choker hits Lorn with a 20. Do you want to use shield or staff of defense? Lorn would take 8 damage and be grabbed.[/sblock]

The other choker strides forward, it's movement very fluid, also gaining a color like the stone wall. Stopping next the the shifter it reaches out towards Thormir and barely manages to grab the warlock. Blood trails down the dwarf's arm as it squeezes.

[sblock=ooc]Choker hits Thormir with a 15. 11 damage and Thormir is grabbed.[/sblock]
