Mina continued to trail along behind the rest of the group. With the others watching the way ahead, she kept most of her attention on the passages behind them, just in case, and she had another arrow ready...

Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. A larger opening leads north down a set of natural stone steps, the roar of falling water echoing from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.

With Selari in the lead, the group comes up the stairs from the pool chamber. Within, Selari spots a massive bugbear, eating a roasted bird of some sort, tossing the bones to a mangy and decidedly unpleasant looking wolf. Two goblins guard the bugbear.

The narrow opening to the west is very likely the top of the natural chimney the group found in the wolf lair upon first entering the caves. The sacks and crates are scattered about behind the bugbear, most busted open, a few still intact. Most of the crates have a blue lion marking on them, the sign of the Lionshield Coster, a merchant company headquartered in Neverwinter, with a warehouse in Phandalin.

The bugbear bellows imperiously at one of the goblins, in the goblinoid language.

[sblock=For those who understand goblinoid]"Lord Klarg is thirsty! Bring Klarg the Mighty more ale! Now, pathetic minions! How can Klarg the Warlord conquer and pillage when he is dying of thirst!"[/sblock]

OOC: Selari and anyone behind her who chooses to may make a Dexterity (Stealth) check to try and sneak in, unnoticed. You will have to beat the wolf's Passive Perception of 13. Because of the stairs, you will have to fully enter the room before using ranged weapons.

Selari holds up four fingers to indicate the trouble in the next area to those behind her. Fingers to her lips to indicate quiet then she proceeds forward, bow drawn.

Stealth Check (1d20+5=21)

She will shoot at the first creature who notices them / begins heading their way while the others are coming in behind her.

Garuk keeps his staff held cross wise at chest height, ready to focus his magical energies through it at a moments notice. He tries to be as quiet as he can, be he can't help but scuff his boots on the uneven rough stone steps.

Aenwyr hangs back, near Mina, trying to find a spot where he can aid either Mina or the rest of the group, depending on who may need help more. As several members of the party begin to climb the steps, the druid once more checks his shield and touches his fingers to the living holly hanging from his neck.

The wolf's head snaps up as it catches the scent of Treygar and Garuk. The animal yelps a warning to its master, who is immediately alert for trouble, barking orders in goblinoid.

[sblock=For those who understand goblinoid...]
"One of you go get reinforcements from the main chamber! The other, with me! We shall confront and destroy any who oppose Lord Klarg!"[/sblock]

OOC: Roll initiative!
