Tyrien moved up, directly behind Larissa. With her ability to snap off arrows very quickly, she would be able to help protect the armored woman from charging.

She was unfazed by the crowd of people standing around. They were at the Army’s training ground. “Four or five, what does it really matter? We can fill them all full of arrows to make them look like porcupines. The horses never did anything to deserve this, but, yeah. That is an advantage that needs to be removed.”

With you beginning to move forward, the General and the other four mounted men started walking their horses ahead too.

However, with Heinrich casting a spell, Blancher calls out “FOUL!”

“That one jumped the start!”
He pointed at the red haired wizard and starts beating a drum to a tune of an imperial march that is meant to inspire troops.

Your attention was drawn to the soldier holding the flag as he back pedals from the middle of the parade ground, but he had not dropped the white flag in his hasty retreat to get out of the way.

With Heinrich starting before the signal, the General spurred his horse into motion and his men did the same.

The general leveled his lance towards Larissa and spurred his mount into action. “You want to stand in front of me, SO BE IT!” His soldiers started into motion as well.

But Tyrien was quicker.

Tyrien was fast and ready. Her hands blurred as she sent arrows zipping across the parade ground. Her first arrows fired at once were channeling some spell energy as well as. It impacted on the General's chest in an explosion of piercing shards. She followed up with two more in the air before the first pair had even struck.

The last she saved for a soldier to the left and the arrow got him too. She was four for four on the opening volley.

“Cor, the dullard still stands!”

The General was reeling in the saddle from the impact of those arrows, but still leading the charge. One of his flanking champions was quicker than the rest and advanced. He loosed his own volley of arrows towards the two red-headed men.

One arrow hit Eanos, slamming into his armored shoulder. The armor held, preventing the arrow from running all the way through, but their was going to be a large bruise. The second arrow narrowly missed his head.

The third arrow went on by the red-headed archer and head for the red-headed wizard. The broad-headed point narrowly missed Heinrich's throat, but just caught the skin for a cut on the side of his neck.

Eanos recognizes the threat of the closer man on horseback, but turns his attention to the general. He takes one small step to ensure he's in range, whispering to his goddess as he does. Whispers swirl around him as the red-haired archer unleashes a volley of his own. The doubled arrows of the first shot fly wide, but the second arrow sinks deep into the General's chest. As the man sucks in air, a final arrow, launched with the speed of Heinrich's magics, sinks into the military man's throat and he falls heavily from his steed.

"The rest of you sure you want in on this madness, or maybe you just take your General to the undertaker? We've got plenty more arrows," Eanos says, his green eyes nearly glowing with menace.

The general topples from his horse, appearing to be out of the fight. His mount remained standing protectively over him.

The contest was not over in the chaos of flying arrows and moving horses. Two of the other riders kept coming and rapidly nocked and released arrows, one focusing on Larissa and the other Heinrich.

Arrows rained in on Larissa and Tyrien. The first missed Tyrien, but the next two were switched to Larissa and made it past her armor for flesh wounds.

Their battle plan must have singled out the potential wizard as the next soldier went after him and the red-headed archer. He shot arrows in rapid succession; two made it past Eanos's defenses and stuck into his armor. The points broke his skin painfully, but he was still fighting. The third arrow flew in on the wizard and stuck in his shoulder, but barely missed the bone and he was still barely on his feet as well.
