Janus's blast flings the statue menacing Balth through the air, to make a small crater in the snow 15 feet away. It comes to its feet with a silent bellow.

Shorrin bashes his foe in the nose with his shield, shoving it out into the path. While it's distracted he is able to steady himself and enter a defensive stance, while Larinza uses the opening to circle around to engage the final construct, managing to open a minor wound despite its formidable stony covering.

Janus hits Iron Defender 4 with Thunderwave, doing 10 damage (which bloodies it) and pushing it to H2.

Shorrin hits Iron Defender 2 with Tide of Iron, doing 4 damage, pushing it to M7, and marking it for another turn. Then he uses an AP to take Second Wind, regaining 1216 hp and getting +2 to all defenses until the start of his next turn. He's no longer bloodied.

Larinza moves to J9 and hits Iron Defender 1 for 6.

Murphy moves closer to his allies and points his rod at the enemy that had been trying to kill him earlier. The purple beam strikes into the creature with deadly accuracy. Finally, the warlock smiles.

Balth still can't shake the cobwebs, and he seems to be moving slower than usual.
He aims and lets two arrows loose in rapid succession. Whatever seems to be affecting him, doesn't seem to be hurting his aim, however. The arrows fly straight to the east towards the monstrosity hovering there. As he lowers his bow momentarily, he shakes his head vigorously; the glint in his eyes returning finally.

"Hovering?" Only the clay scout (which is dead) was flying - the rest are squat, toadlike demon statues which are walking.

Balth buries two arrows into the nearest statue, which sways on its feet. Just as it seems about to regain its balance, Murphy's blast explodes it into chunks of rock and metal which rain down on the path.

The other defenders take no notice. One drops to all fours and bounds towards Balth from behind, pushing its way past one of the immobile statues. The statue splinters as it shoves its bulk through, and suddenly its teeth close painfully around Balth's shoulder. The other makes a feint towards Shorrin, but as the dragonborn brings his shield into a solid defensive position it suddenly whirls and sinks its teeth into Larinza instead, hard.

Balth shoots Iron Defender 2 twice, for 11 damage total, and then saves. Finally!

Murphy moves to E9 and shoots Iron Defender 2 for 14 damage, killing it. He gets to teleport now.

Iron Defender 4 charges to I5 and bites at Balth, hitting with a 22 for 8 damage, bloodying him. (Sorry to be picking on you, Balth, but you're closest!)

Iron Defender 1 attacks Larinza (since it would have a penalty to attack Shorrin), hitting with a 21 for 11 damage.
