Balth buries two arrows into the nearest statue, which sways on its feet. Just as it seems about to regain its balance, Murphy's blast explodes it into chunks of rock and metal which rain down on the path.
The other defenders take no notice. One drops to all fours and bounds towards Balth from behind, pushing its way past one of the immobile statues. The statue splinters as it shoves its bulk through, and suddenly its teeth close painfully around Balth's shoulder. The other makes a feint towards Shorrin, but as the dragonborn brings his shield into a solid defensive position it suddenly whirls and sinks its teeth into Larinza instead, hard.

Balth shoots Iron Defender 2 twice, for 11 damage total, and then saves. Finally!
Murphy moves to E9 and shoots Iron Defender 2 for 14 damage, killing it. He gets to teleport now.
Iron Defender 4 charges to I5 and bites at Balth,
hitting with a 22 for 8 damage, bloodying him. (Sorry to be picking on you, Balth, but you're closest!)
Iron Defender 1 attacks Larinza (since it would have a penalty to attack Shorrin),
hitting with a 21 for 11 damage.
