the funniest moment i have had researching all of these came this week.

i was googling medieval occupations and jobs, sorting the wheat fromt he chaff when i came across a site (i have lost it now) that listed possible medieval jobs. at the top of the list- Pope. :lol:

Well, he was a pretty influential guy. Heck, just ask the Knights Templar while they were tied to a stake... :\

Well, that was more closely tied to the French king at that time, who needed money fast and was able to create a creepy (and utterly unsubstantiated) story ... that sticks to this day with many people! ;)
