Most Unusual or Outrageous Character or NPC Names

Henry

I've played Plaster the Bard, a 7 foot tall singing troll with a 4 CHA and a voice that could cut wood.

The other worst names I've seen I'm not sure if I should put here... Let's just say that two players of mine about 15 years ago had the worst penchant for naming their PCs after two-letter initials for sex acts, and various members of Guns & Roses...

Best I can do is my Half-orc Barbarian named 'Hakyn Slazh'
although I did once play an NPC nymph named 'Topxes' (read backwards)

My current Dragonstar character:
Chana Saag Krishna-Ghandi West. Usually goes by "Eastwood".

I had the GM in stiches w/the line "Well, my Christian name is Chana Saag Krishna-Ghandhi, but I'd right prefer it if'n ya'll call me what my friends do, which is Eastwood". BTW, he speaks w/a half cowboy, half genteel-Southern drawl.

And here's some NPC's from my D&D game...

Sanjuro "Saville" Roeh: a well dressed alchemist.
Jean-Paul Ghandayar, aka "Bon Temps Ghandy": a cleric/casino owner.

Le Mans Gullivule: a powerful magician.

The Right Reverend Don Magic Wand: a cleric/pimp.

Brak-Ton Mollok: a tempermental abstract artist.
Clement Greenverge: a former druid turned art critic.

Johannes DuBeouf, aka "Spring-Veal Jack": a master chef.

I thought the names from my last campaign were pretty crazy, until I actually read this thread...

Our player group developed a tendency for horrible pun names.

Therefore we had:

Heehu ("He who")
Whinny ("When he")
Iffainywon ("If anyone") ("Iffainywon wants to charge out into battle... it's not me! HAW HAW!")

And a few other people whose names were so dumb I don't even remember them.

A friend of mine had a halfling ranger named Porky Baconbottom. His only interests where food and saving his own bacon. :D Needless to say he was not a very popular character with the rest of the group.

For you Shakespeare fans...

Back in high school (rather a long way back for me) I had a friend with literary pretentions. I shared them, but was a grade ahead and somewhat better read of the Bard's plays. Anyway, this guy was looking for a suitably Shakespearean name for his character and I managed to suggest, with a straight face, Fellatio. I claimed it was from "Two Gentlemen from Verona". It took him weeks to figure out what I had done, and even after he changed the character's name, we always called him BJ for short.

I had a gnome Jester (class from Dragon Magazine) named the funny man!
The DM hated the name so much that my character ended up being polymorphed into a steaming pile of poo!

A guy a played with named his character Schick like the razors - except everyone though it was the other S word. No one found out until the character died!

Our current campaign has fairly serious names for characters, but the jokes get tied to the familiars & animal companions (and the occasional NPC whose name I haven't quite thought through all the way). Ex:

The sorcerer's fox familiar, Redd
The ranger's ox companion, Mulebone
The bard's riding lizard, Pony

NPC's:
The cleric, Father Abercrombie (to which players respond: "Bet his acolyte is named Fitch!")
Elven NPC, Evian (player response: "Bet his surname is 'Springwater'!")

:)
