[Mutant Future] Raiders of the Mind Lord's Tomb

The creatures charge! Pickles finds himself fending off two scrawny, screeching rodents nearly as long as he is. He uses his front paws to shove one away, but its mate catches his shoulder with its needle-sharp teeth.

"Pickles!" shouts Yella as he starts to look for an opening for his spear.

The great raccoon suppresses his instinct to turn tail and flee. He retreats into the cavern slowly, swiping and gnashing his teeth to keep the beasts at bay.

OOC: Pickles made a guarded retreat. You all now have an open line of fire at the giant weasels.

"Take care!" Yella says, moving so as to avoid being flanked as best as he can while thrusting clumsily with his spear at one of the beasts.

Valla casually reappears flapping above the fray, her clear plexi-riot shield in hand even though she is safely out of melee range. "Do mind the cloud this leaves lovelies. Would hate to see parts starts falling off of you." The strangely hovering figure in the golden mask and long cloak pulls on something beneath the folds of dense fabric with her free hand and nonchalantly tosses it to the ground between the rear ends of the long and sinewy beasts that have invaded their charming if temporary shelter.

The bright green fruit lands perfectly between the pair of stringy giant critters, where it explodes on contact with the ground. The would-be snackers are sprayed with a sickly sweet smelling, albeit lethally blended, shower of razor sharp thorn-like seeds and viscous yellow juice that clings in their matted fur.

The caustic radioactive mist clears, and the smaller creatures lies in a burned heap. Its companion, though, still stands! It snarls and gnashes its teeth even as sticky juice corrodes its skin! It lurches at Pickles and snaps. It catches Pickles' forearm and clamps tight.

OOC: Start of Round 2. One weasel down. The survivor does 5 damage to Pickles and attaches itself.

With all the thrashing and twisting of the ropey beasty though, the flying plant is unsure if the critter was caught in the spray of exploding fruit she throws at the ground by the weasel's tail end.
