Then the VTOL swoops in over the treetops an towards a black tarmac landing area. Out the windows the heroes saw a fenced off area with dozens of FEMA tents and army and AEGIS vehicles and personal surrounding the area.

After landing, the heroes saw Agent Red standing with a number of AEGIS agents waiting to greet them. She did not look particularly happy to see them...

GM: HARM (Humans Against Real Monsters) is a terrorist anti-metahuman organization. There are rumors that this group is tied to a legal lobbyist group called NO FEAR (National Organization For the Extraordinary and Abnormal Registration)

“Well, he isn’t wrong about that,” Caleb had to agree. “So he’s likely not too happy to be sitting on a pile of new ones. There been any incidents since yesterday with them?” he queried.


As they landed, Caleb disembarked. “Agent Red,” he greeted the beautiful redhead with a nod. “Sorry to inconvenience you.”

Agent Red nodded to both the heroes but she still did not appear to be very happy. Maybe this was just her natural look? Perpetually scowling and frowning.

"No inconvenience" She said to the Shadow. Looking to Paladin she adds "We have not had any unusual trouble from the residents of the camps. We are still processing most of them as there are a couple of hundred all told. People are worried and we are doing what we can to assure them that as soon as we are done evaluating everyone that... most will be allowed to return to their homes."

"If you want to come this way I will take you into the camp and you can see for yourself. Under escort of course..."

Agent Red and the other AEGIS agents take the heroes towards the gatehouse where additional agents are manning the checkpoint in. There are a few civilian cars and families standing about, apparently waiting on the status of those inside. Some of them look at the heroes and shout some angry words such as "What did you do too my daughter!?!?" or "Why have you imprisoned our family?" but the agents hustle the group forward through the gate and into the camp.

Looking about there are dozens of large FEMA tents evenly spaced set up in two rows. There are a few people wandering about, some quite obviously a bit dazed by their situation.

Agent Red looks to the heroes. "So, what kind of trouble do you think is happening here?"

Just before people started exiting the VTOL, Kitsune winked out like a soap bubble popping. She followed the others out quietly and looked around the base. Earpieces. Yeah, that'd be useful. Not just to coordinate, but to listen in on the radio transmissions these guys were using. Where would they keep spare earpieces?

Bedrooms, she guessed. Or, what did you call those in the army? Barracks? Yeah, that was it. Barracks.

She kept ghosting after the others as Agent Red led them along, keeping her eyes open for signs or something that indicated which way the barracks were.

GM: Kitsune can make a Stealth and Perception check... or Investigation if she prefers. The rest of heroes can also make a Perception and/or Investigation rolls as they look around

As Agent Red is showing the other heroes the mess hall, medical facilities and some other facilities they have set up for the 'Stormers', Kitsune (while invisible) sneaks off and starts pocking her nose in places it probably does not belong.

In her random searching she comes upon the camp's main power generator. It has it's own large tent and is producing a lot of noise as it powers all the lights, equipment, wi-fi for people, etc. Easily getting by the guards who are standing outside (these appear to be regular army troopers instead of FEMA or AEGIS agents) where she found four big bio-diesel generators running... and some shadowy figures muscling some strange looking device into a power coupling. She suddenly realizes that the one directing the figures is Remlock, the villain from last night!!! She also noticed Parkour and Death Magnet along with at least six drone like demon things...

Kitsune frowned and quickly hunkered down in a corner where she could see what was going on, but was unlikely to be accidentally stumbled into.

How the heck had all these guys gotten this far into the base?? And what were they doing to the generators?!

She wasn't going to fight them...and she had a feeling that giving them away to the soldiers would provoke them into accelerating their nefarious scheme into overdrive, and maybe get people hurt.

That thing they were putting in there looked like it was pretty important to the scheme though. Once they had finished here, it'd be pretty easy to just...take them back out again. Heh heh.
