In Japanese there are several references to scorpions... From http://www.notredame.ac.jp/cgi-bin/jedi

You could alter these words... Perhaps add "dai" (great or large) to the front... daisaori, daisazori, daikatzu, daigatzu...

Part of the scientific name for several scorpions is Centruroides, maybe you can play with that... or play with the fact that they are arachnids.. Centrunids?
