Just a little fun.

How do you think the different editions of (A)D&D would be marketed if they were labelled like household products, e.g. dish soap, food, shampoo, etc. ?

My ideas:

1st Edition: Original flavor!

2nd Edition: Devil free! 0% Demons!

3rd Edition: New formulas! Lasts longer!

4th Edition: New Coke!

5th Edition: Classic taste! Less filling!

AD&D 1st: New look, same great taste!

AD&D 2nd: Now with 20% more crunch!

3rd Edition: [presented as a picture of 3rd edition next to a picture of 2nd edition, a la a whopper adjacent a big mac] Advanced D&D? Seems more like a junior version.

4th Edition: Faster speeds than you can get with 3rd edition [like internet provider ads when they both offer the same speed options].

5th Edition: [the red Logo on a white background]Open happiness.

1st edition: a classic take... On a classic product

2nd edition: A sleeker version of the classic

3rd: basically 2nd ed S.

4th: if you love MMO's you'll love this

5th: 'the apology' we're sorry about that MmO game, here's D&D again.

Given a couple of posts already here, I don't see how this thread is going to be anything other than a way for folks to edition war under the guise of "but it was a joke!".
