So, I am going to start playing in a new game with some friends.
The DM had us roll 3D6 straight-down- old school style.

I ended up with:
STR 16
DEX 9
CON 17
INT 16
WIS 10
CHA 12

Yes I was very lucky. Again it was straight-down. We cannot move scores around.

I am trying to decide what to play. I have various ideas and some story ideas.
One idea was a noble swordsman (Human-Noble-Fighter).

Any other suggestions? I know I have the Int to be a decent wizard, but that Dex will make the lack of armor/mage armor hard.

Those stats would make a great Eldritch Knight Fighter.

After you hit Lv. 7 in Fighter (EK), you might also want to consider multiclassing into Wizard.

Thank you for the suggestion. That was one idea I was thinking- Level 3- choose EK.
