Varquat crane's his head over Jin's shoulder and hollers back, "Oi'm jus' askin'! You ain' seen i'yet."

The bartender comes out from behind the bar again at a stride, stops in front of Varquat, puts both hands on his hips and stares up into the lug's bushy eyebrows "You're going to make a spectacle of yourself dragging a brute squad off to chase a thief from your basement. There's nothing more to it if it's that at all."

"It's not your basement. Remember Varquat?" The bartender stifles a laugh.

"You keep outa this!..." Varquat sizes up the Orc, "...but Oi s'pose if 'e [indicating the bartender] ain' 'fraid o'ya, Oi ain' 'fraid o'ya. 'Sa deal."

Oi coulda' swarn that were two wolves 'minute ago.

"Ya c'n say that 'gain ser. Who be you Mr...?" Varquat extends a hand to the shifter, keeping an eye on the wolf. Nice doggie.

Talon looks suspiciously at the mans extended hand as if not sure what he's supposed to do. After a moment of hesitation, he takes the mans hand in his own and lifts it up to smell. The overpowering scent of malted hops drowns out everything else though. Releasing Varquat's hand, he begins to make ready his equipment while studying the new pack forming up around this opportunity. He smiles in anticipation.

"Aye! An' a might' good thin' too. That'll be 'nuff fer the job Oi 'opes." Looking back to the bartender who has since resumed his place behind the bar, he shoots what he intends to be a piercing comment, "Y'll see it ain't no comm'n thief. It's b'witcht Oi tells ya."

The bartender, however, doesn't permit the promise the dignity of retort. He just shakes his head and continues to wipe the bar down.
