New Witcher - Blood Origins - Spoilers allowed

I've never played the Witcher (although I have the first one through thanks to a free promotion when the last Witcher came out), and never read the books, so I suspect I'll enjoy it too, but isn't kind of a messed up that this Witcher: BO show seems designed more to appeal to D&D fans then Witcher fans?

The Venn diagram between Witcher fans and D&D fans is likely almost a circle.

Also, while the author claims to have never played or read any D&D stuff, there are certain elements, that seem clearly inspired by D&D, even if he encountered it second hand.

That is sn overstatement, but either way doesn't mean Witcher fans want a Witcher series to feel more like D&D then the Witcher.

More people will know it from the game than from the books, and the game is an open-world RPG, so it's going to have the connotations of that genre.

As a DnD fan though, I’m pretty happy.
