Newbie here with a question for all........

The other 9 characters ate it. Sweet hot death! Of the nine players three quit because they thought the Titans were "cheezy". Oh well.

They thought playing in a group of 18 rules-bending characters (judging by the references to the maximized quickened 'Tentacles staff) with a DM too inexperienced with 3E to manage the near impossible task of managing such games was ok but fighting an army of titans was "cheezy'?

Sounds like they took advantage of you & you're better off without them, but kudos for trying to meet the challenge.

That said, if you want to keep alive some links to the "old campaign", keep the Cult of the Dragon around & drop the occasional hint that Klauth has become a dracolich (as previously suggested). You don't even need them to meet him, just knowing he's out there should give them something to worry about...
