Padeirain "Paddy" Llanwyndel:

From his earliest years in the forest of his homeland Padeirain's life has been filled with tragedy. On a hunting trip with his Grandfather "Paddy" became lost in woods, eventually he found his way home to the hearth tree, only to learn that his grandfather had died while searching for him after being ambushed by a gang of orcs. Two years later his father died of a sudden illness brought by Human missionaries from the west. Then just two years ago on the morning of his 100th birthday his twin sister Elavindha vanished without a trace into the dark shadows of the woods. Padeirain knows that his sister is alive he can feal her presence somewhere in the world. This he tells himself is why he has come to be an adventurer. Up until now he's had little luck finding his twin.

Around his neck Paddy wears a locket with a lock of her coppery hair religiously. And his backpack holds some of things that she once held dear. Using his fathers well worn bow, and his Great grandfathers elven blade Paddy has been on the road for the last year, and a half. Along the way he has slowly learned the ways of the Traveling bard, and earns money by telling tales of the elven people. He has found the skills of his bardic work helpful in his ill fated search.

HPHB WILDLINGS

In the woods, magic is said to fill the air. For thousands of years the wildlings went
without ever letting the larger races know of their presence. The Elves were the first to
spot them almost two thousands years ago, writing them into their myths as forest
sprites, but in fact Wildlings are a smaller cousin of the elf. In fact it is believed that
wildlings are the missing link that pulls halfings into the racial family.
Personality: Wildlings tend to be mischievous, curious, but highly intelligent, and
finicky at any situation that smells of ill omen. They feel frustrated at elves due to size
difference , but overall seem lighthearted.
Physical Description: The shortest of the elven brood, wildings typically stand about 2½’
to 3½’ tall, and weighing 20-30 lbs. They have a startling, but unmistakable similarity in
facial structure with halflings, with the exception of high cheek bones typical of elves.
Like their taller cousin they have no taste for facial hair. Their hair color ranges from
raven black, to a ruddy auburn; while their eye color stays at a pretty even mahogany
flecked with gold. They prefer comfortable clothes with dark forest colors to help keep
them hidden when needs be.
Relations: They are amiable with all races except for half orcs, and ogres who they will
work with, but with watchful eyes. Known to like halflings in particular.
Alignment: They tend to lean toward neutral alignments. A good few of them have
chaotic nature however.
Lands:Like their halfling cousins they do not have land of their own, but tend to live in woods most inhabited by elves. They dwell in small communities high up in the trees, or in small burrows within hillsides.
Religion: Wildlings worship the Immortals, the great ever living elves. It should be noted
that Immortals stand about the same size as regular elves, but radiate magical powers
that supposedly make the good enlightened and the evil sick. (some call them the
creators of the elves)( Elves have since all but lost the knowledge of the Immortals, but
with the emergence of wildlings some followers have been made. (On a very D&D note
Corellon Larethian is a very young Immortal in MH)
Language: they speak a less fluid form of Elven called Archaic, and Sylvan.
Names: When a wildling reaches majority they conduct the Alcuhtheklan or ritual of
spirits. It is believed that through this ritual the spirit of nature will whisper the wildlings
name.
Wildling male names: Aamon, Aanaban Abadan, Atheklan, Authean, Bahnama,
Banaaben, Baleth, Balor, Dalthen, Emnanon, Felancius Lekius Oabho, Paranon, Zechmus
Wildling female names: Amaya, Anerielana, Bianca, Ciana, Deltheah, Eochana, Lanice, Kandice Kiara, Monicana, Nedrieah Nymena, Nymphala, Yvenes
Family names: Raunwys (“ sweetrain”) Faurendys (“Forestdew”) Buabyonburys
(“Babblingbrook”)
Adventurers: Wildlings tend to adventure out of curiosity. While others hunger for
magic, acclaim, or gold.

Racial Traits
*;-2 Strength -2 Constitution + 4 Dexterity +2 Charisma.
* Small: as small creatures, wildlings gain a +1 size bonus to armor class,
* +1 size bonus on attack roles, and a +4 size bonus to hide checks, but must use smaller weapons than humans use, and their lifting and carrying limits are three quarters of those
of a medium sized creature.
*;Wildlings base speed is 30 Feet.
*+2 racial bonus on climb, jump, and move silently checks
* +4 racial bonus on listen checks, they have very keen ears.
*Low-light vision: wildlings can see twice as far as Humans in starlight, moonlight,
torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. They retain their ability to retain
color and detail under these conditions.
*;Profiecient with either the shortsword or lt. mace; proficient with shortbow, or
composite shortbow. Wildlings have learned the usefulness of martial training.
*Elven blood: for all special abilities and effects, a wildling is considered an
elf. Wildlings , for example, can use special elven weapons or magic items
with racially specific elven powers as if they were an elf.
*Nature Sense: A wildling can identify plants and animals (their species and special traits)
with perfect accuracy. The wildling can determine whether water is safe to drink or
dangerous.
*Woodland Stride: a wildling may move through natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain at his or her normal speed and without suffering damage or other impairment. However, thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that are enchanted or magically manipulated to impede motion still affect wildlings.
*Trackless Step: a wildling leaves no trail in natural surroundings and cannot be tracked.
*;+4 bonus to saving throws against the spell-like abilities of feys.
*;Automatic Languages: Archaic and Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Common, , Dwarven, Draconic, Druidic, Elven, Gnoll, Gnome, and Halfling.
*Favored class: Ranger: a multiclass wildling ranger class does not count when determining whether he suffers an XP penalty for multiclassing (see experience for multiclass characters PHB page 56) due to their natural talent in this class.
