Order of the Stick 860: Wasn't Going to Listen to Orders Anyway

Can Malack channel positive energy? No... pick better teammates Nale. :)

To be fair, Malack really shouldn't count as one of Nale's teammates. If anything, he and Tarquin are using the Linear Guild here for Tarquin's plans, and Nale is too much of an egotistic fool to see it.

And Tarquin clearly thinks better on his feet than Nale does.

Agreed, on all accounts.

Tarquin is a master manipulator who has made his entire career out to being a power-behind-the-throne who uses people. He's manipulated Kings and Emperors and Dragons into doing his bidding while nominally being their servant. He's not above doing it to his own son, especially since the importance of the Gate is the only reason why Tarquin isn't running Nale through now.

They haven't made his level clear, except that Tarquin is obviously higher level than Durkon (who has to be somewhere between 13th and 16th, since he can cast Resurrection but not True Resurrection). I wouldn't be surprised if he was 20th level or Epic though, from the sheer amount of skill, flexibility, options, and durability he shows.
