I've got no problem with Castles and Crusades at all. But it doesn't do the same thing that OSRIC does, so I don't think it's an "alternative." :)
Yeah; Any OSRIC compatible adventures I pick up would be used in my C&C game, actually (just like I can use old AD&D modules in my C&C game). It seems to me that OSRIC-compatible material could be used with AD&D, C&C, Hackmaster, or classic D&D with little or no conversion hassle (varying slightly depending on which system you're talking about).

Indeed. OSRIC is intended to be as close as possible to 1E AD&D. There are various small differences in the rules themselves (for legal reasons only -- OSRIC makes no attempts to "fix" or "improve" anything about the 1E AD&D rules), but for the sake of stat-blocks in a module or supplement most/all of those should fade into the background and any OSRIC-compatible module should be 100% 1E AD&D-compatible, or very nearly so, with no "conversion" required at all. Which as a corollary means that any game that is roughly compatible with 1E AD&D should be equally compatible with OSRIC -- it'll be no harder to convert an OSRIC-compatible module or supplement to C&C or Hackmaster or 2E AD&D or Classic D&D or whatever other game than to convert an existing 1E AD&D module.

Well, whoever makes OSRIC material just make sure to announce it here in the Publishers Press Release forum so I am sure to see it. BTW, I much prefer print over pdf, but if pdf is the only way you can afford to go I'll reluctantly buy it, as long as I think it is good, of course. :)

I'm seriously considering it. A few things I have to think about before doing so, obviously, but I'm thinking about it. And they would more than likely be print and PDF products.

Joe, I think you know I am a fan of your stuff, so you'll have at least one sale for each product, once my old house sells! ;)

Cool. I think there would be small, yet very dedicated, group of people who would be interested in such products.

...and hope your house sells! :)
