"Gobbo, we be makin' a deal. Make sure no one knows we're down here and that no one follows, and ye'll be getting yer gold." Mordin is a little distracted as he looks over the water. Time to get wet.

Ahki lingers in the rear of the party, waiting for the others to begin making their way down the tunnel.
When they're out of sight around the corner...
[SBLOCK]
As the others begin slogging their way down the tunnel. Ahki turns to the goblin. "They said I pay you now. Here gold." he says, playing the big dumb warrior role. He scoops a few coins from his pocket but drops a few that clink and roll on the ground. "Oops, dems are yours too." He waits, hoping the goblin will be distracted by the loose coins and not notice him reaching for his club.
ooc:Going to club him if he goes for it. Attack +4, dmg 1d10+4

*Siobhan stays the middle of the group, warily watching for an ambush from both directions, as she pays careful attention to both the beginning and end of the group marching order. If she notices someone who goes too far ahead or straggles behind, expecting that they might be ambushed, she calls out for either the person too far ahead to back up or for everyone to back up for the person behind.*

Ambush in the Sewers
One by one the party jumps into the foul smelling water at the bottom of the stairs. As Weapon jumps in one of the valves on the far right side opens spilling a large amount of water into the tunnel. The water quickly flows with the current which appears to be in the direction opposite the party.
By the time Siobhan has jumped into the water, her brother had already emmerged on the platform beneath the iris-like valves. Mordin joins Siobhan in the water as Akhi hangs back.
[sblock=Akhi]Skakan takes the coins preoffered, but notices a glint in Akhi's eyes as the large barbarian drops a few more coins to the stairs. With a wink the goblin starts running up the stairs. Ahki is about to give chase (and probably catch up within steps and clobber the poor goblin) when...[/sblock]
As the party's light (who has it?) reaches the far end of the tunnel, Siobhan and Weapon both notice three dark forms rising from the water. Siobhan immediately recognizes them as shifters, Razorclaws most likely. From the right of the stairs near the grate Akhi sees the dull metal glint of a warforged rising from the water in ambush just in time. Wielding a rapier the warforged attacks.
[Surprise Round]
Skakan takes off running. As Akhi did not have his great club quite ready yet, the little blighter manages to take off.

Del/Mordin is in the water in the square right in front of the platform.
Akhi is on the bottom step, not yet in the water.
The three shifters are in the water just beyond the platform at the far west.
The warforged is in the north square next to the grate (mere steps from where the party passed by and only 10ft from Akhi and Mordin).
Map to come when I have time to put it together.

"Hmm...that shifter that was watching us must have been an enemy," Siobhan ponders, not surprised at the ambush, "That tunnel we used to enter seems like the only way to get in or out. Good--we can block it and the Dark-Six-damned flying ball won't get away this time."

"Needless to say, let's handle the Warforged first. I can't imagine that my brethren would support the cause of 'Kill all non-Warforged', so unless we're being deceived about the Lord of Blades's involvement, they are likely just hired muscle."
