PF2 rule, 3 actions per turn, anyone experimenting with this in 5e?

I am curious about the 3 actions per turn, that Pathfinder 2 announced as a rule.

Anyone implementing this rule for their 5e game?

Does it work? Does it work well?

Likely not much, if any, and it does not work with 5E as the balances are not the same. We have class abilities that grant additional attacks per action, no penalty on additional attacks in a round, different scaling of attack bonuses, etc...

This is a core mechanic you build a game around. It is not a mechanic you can port into an existing game that is not substantially similar.

Basically this.

But to piggyback on action economy in general, I do like the idea of allowing a second bonus action with a regular action, as long as the second bonus action is different than the first.

So, 5e seems to have the following action economy:
• action
• move
• object-interaction (flourish)
• bonus action
• reaction
• communication

The typical sequence might work best for a ‘3 action’ set: action › move › object interaction.

But the PF2 approach is simpler. Everything is an action.

Action is an action. Move is an action. Object interaction is an action. And so on. And you get three.

You mean 5e action economy out-crunches PF2E???

In other words, if you move, flourish, and attack in PF2E, you forfeit any potential opportunity attack later in the round because you’re capped at 3 total actions? Methinks that won’t go over well with the PF base...
