Note:Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else on the boards.

I somehow after several years of tearing through the PhB just now noticed the modifiers on the random weight table. x2d4? x2d6? x1d6? Am I reading that right? Multiply the base weight by the die roll? 425lbs Elves? Am I missing something?

No, you don't multiply the base weight, only the random part you rolled for height.

Multiply the additional height by the weight and add to the base.

Human male example:
Roll 2d10 = X (inches)
Roll 2d4 = Y (pounds per inch)
Height = 4'10" + X
Weight = 120lbs + X*Y
