Quick poll about concentration

The number of concentration checks I have to make vary greatly. I put 3+ because I'm usually casting Hold Monster or Banish, depending on creature saves. When you're paralyzing monsters you're a target. If I'm just blasting away or using Force Cage there's no concentration checks.

My old half-elf sorcerer only lost concentration once, during a fight with a Balor, and only then because of the Balor's Death Burst.

My old Lizardfolk Light cleric never once lost concentration, mostly because the game ended around 6th level, and nobody wanted to attack the Hades-worshipping pyromaniac 7 foot tall lizardman.

My current Half-Orc War Cleric also has yet to lose concentration on a spell, but that probably has more to do with the fact that he wears a full suit of plate armor and that Bless is his favorite spell of choice.
