Eddy, too, is caught up in the action and is concentrating on not losing Borkel in the darkness. Eddy is running with a torch in one hand and his mace in the other.

The group run, chasing their quarry, knocking into crates. Eddy stomps on a (normal-sized) rat as they make their way. The creature sprints out of reach of the group, and briefly out of the shadows. Soon the trio are at near the edge of the warehouse. Having slipped into the shadows, the creature cannot be seen.
Bru shouts "Where are you all going? Don't leave me here! There could be more of 'em!"

Eddy curses a bit then hollers to Bru, "You're all right back there. Just stay cool. Draw your weapon if you need to." To Tumna and Borkel he says, "Let's spread out. Get to where just the edge of your Sunrod light is hitting the edge of my torch light, so that if there's any trouble, we'll at least see the area it's in, and we can bring the lights right to it. Borkel, you're our man on watch. Keep a keen eye, good dwarf."
Eddy then moves to one side to spread as much light as possible between the sunrod and the torch.
