Rogues Opportunist Special Ability.

What is the order of events when using a Rogues Opportunist Special Ability....

Comrade A and Rogue have monster flanked.

Is it....
Comrade A Attacks monster damages it, Rogue takes Opportunist AOO (assuming he has not already used it), Comrade A finishes his/her full attack.

Or is it...
Comrade A takes and finishes full attack, then Rogue takes Opportunist AOO.

Which one is it?? Basically does a characters combat pause for the Rogue to take the AOO, or does the rogue take the AOO after the character (that damaged monster) has finished his/her actions for the round?

It's the first one. Don't think of it as characters pausing, but that the rogue's action almost instantaneously interrupts the normal flow. Just like any other AoO as if Comrade A bullrushed the opponent.

From the SRD:
Opportunist (Ex): Once per round, the rogue can make an attack of opportunity against an opponent who has just been struck for damage in melee by another character. This attack counts as the rogue’s attack of opportunity for that round. Even a rogue with the Combat Reflexes feat can’t use the opportunist ability more than once per round.

I'd say it immidiatley happens. So option 1. But the description of the ability isn't very clear when it does happen, however it does state "against an opponent who has just been struck for damage" therefore you couldn't use it against an opponent who had been struck for damage 2 attacks ago only one who just has.

That makes #1 correct in my book, didn't think of it that way.

Now for a follow up question. The Two Weapon feat Duel Strike (Complete adventurer) allows you to make 2 attacks in a standard action. Does this allow you to attack with each weapon during an AOO?

Thanks for the quick responses....

No, because an AoO is not a standard action, it's a single melee attack. You can't take an action (standard, free, move, etc.) during an AoO.

The feat Double Hit from the Miniatures Handbook does allow you to do that, but as Infiniti2000 said Dual Strike does not.
