Archeville continues to work on modifying his Gravimetric Belt so it can be used to bypass the force field.

During a lull in conversation Mr Jones flicks over to a blank page in his note book and begins to idly sketch out a few ideas. No matter how confident the scientist sounded in his invention it was always good to have a second option, at least that was the way the magician saw it.

Anyone looking over his shoulder would see a varied collection of ideas taking shape: a complex diagram of a wardrobe like box with way too many doors and various slots of unexplained purpose; some kind of contraption which appeared to consist of a large sheet attached to a hoola hoop and perhaps even more baffling what appears to be a diagram of a large mirror in front of which some one has placed a smoke grenade.

The Juggler amuses himself by fiddling with coin tricks.

Antonus appears to be listening to his mp3 player, blithely unaware of the world around him.

Preperations made and plans discussed the team boards the Vigilant. The take off is smooth and soon the fasten seat belt light turns off.

An hour into the flight Major Sinclair turns to face the team "The Crimson Crier's wounds have been treated and he is in route to our holding cell in Nevada. Unfortunatley his interrogation provided little additonal information; he claims this Minister of Education (therefore confirming his connection) gave him his powers and that he did the same for at least two other individuals. There is a chance there are some low powered thugs roaming that campus."

Strapped securely into his seat Mr Jones asks, "Did he give any indication as to why he was sent to rob that bank. Seems odd for this Minister to waste a quarter of his resources robbing a bank when he must have been planing this university thing for months."

"Presumable to test how well his homemade super could perform, and to serve as a distraction."

 

[Hand of Vecna]

"Vell, as a distraction," Archeville chimed in as he double-checked the blinking pager-sized add-on to his gravimetric belt, "he did admirably -- while ve vere all focused on him, ze Minister nabbed ze University. Of course, it is also possible ze Crier vas sent out as bait, to better lure us into ze University, so ze Minister could trap und use us in his experiments... or to just gloat over us."

Zenji ponders the doctor's words for a moment and quips, "So in other words, the Minister's plan was either to keep us from finding out that he took over the university, or to make us find out that he took over the university."
