Pathfinder 1E Rules for Monolguing?

“Guys,” I said out-of-character, “Our rounds-per-level spells are ticking. Should we maybe hurry and—”

“Dude,” said the DM. “Rounds spent monologuing don’t count towards spell duration.”

Has this mess ever happened to you? Have you ever "suspended time" while a villain or a hero breaks into a big speech? Do you find that "buff-buff-open-door-fight" ruins the moment of dramatic confrontation, or is that the cost of good tactics?

I agree that ‘Villain Monologue’ is a special lair action that stops time for the duration of the speech.

of course PCs can use the time to thwart the villains plan - but not disrupt the monologue, Narrativium must always take precedence
