[sblock]Ice Station Zeta ... a research installation deep in the Antarctic wastelands. Financed by an eccentric billionaire your team has been commissioned to visit the station and help the owner with the final stages of what he's calling The Breakthrough. The reasons for each of you coming are varied but it cannot be denied that the trip offers a unique opportunity. No expense had been spared to ensure safe travel. Which was little comfort when high winds began to assault the helicopter as it began its approach on the station. There was no time to react as the side of the mountain sped closer.
Screaming, impact then darkness.
You wake up and no one appears to have suffered any serious injuries. However, that's the least of your concerns...
This horror-survival-mystery game was inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing, LOST, Event Horizon and other similar media and books.
The system: Dread uses a Jenga tower as the conflict resolution mechanic. You pull and place a number of blocks based on the host's interpretation of your character's skills that are determined by providing answers on a questionnaire about your character. A pull that fells the tower also fells your character!
NOTE: Signing up for this game means agreeing to complete and send me your character questionnaire a week before the Game Day. Also, please let me know if you have a problem playing a character of the opposite gender. Questionaires will go out shortly after we have a full table.
