The constables do remember casually noticing the Gatehouse at Red Rock, Sir Upjohn's estate, and thinking that it probably held a cell or two, as is the usual practice.

Alarion turns to Zane. "We heard rumors of a horde of humanoids readying to attack our fair city, and we were hoping Lord Upjohn could tell us whether this was the case."

"Well I had been doing intelligence on a ring of hobgoblin slave drivers. That may be why I was sent."
