I am new to Linux and I have jsut installed Debian, but I have a few noobie questions I am hoping to get help with. I have checked online, but there is more information than I can sort through.
1. How do I install updated drivers for my computer? For instance, I have the Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics card for my laptop. The actual coomand line insruction would be extremely helpful.
2. How do I get Gnome to run properly? I did the "apt-get install gnome" and found that I had to try apt-get install xserver XFree86, which brought me through a setup which. to be honest, had more than a few questions which were beyond me. Is there a fairly straightforward walkthrough for setting that up properly?
I really appreciate any help you can give me.
